Product Description: Cellulose acetophthalate, also known as Cellacefate and Cellulosiacetasphthala, is a Polymerphthalat commonly used in the formulation of pharmaceuticals as the enteric coating of tablets or capsules and controlled release formulations. Is a cellulose polymer, wherein about half of the hydroxyl groups are esterified with acetyl groups, esterified with one-quarter of one or two carboxyl groups of a phthalic acid and the remainder remains unchanged.
