Product Description:
T47D cells carry receptors for a variety of steroids and calcitonin. They express the p53 protein of the mutant tumor suppressor protein. Under normal culture conditions, they express the receptor progesterone constitutively and respond to estrogens. They are capable of estrogen receptor (ER) during long-term estrogen deficiency in vitro lose. The cells are used as model systems for tamoxifen drug resistance studies in patients with p53 mutant breast tumors.
