Product:
palladium hydride
CAS: 12135-22-7
Molecular formula: H2O2Pd
Molecular Weight: 140.43
Description:
Palladium hydride is palladium metal, which contains a significant amount of hydrogen in the crystal lattice.
Palladium electrodes have been used in cold fusion experiments, assuming that the hydrogen between the palladium atoms can be "pressed", to melt at lower temperatures would otherwise be needed. However, none of the cold fusion experiments have obtained positive positive results, and the theoretical capacity of palladium to achieve this objective is in dispute.
