Product Description: Emtricitabine is a nucleoside analogue reverse transcriptase inhibitor and, in combination with other agents for the treatment and prevention of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Emtricitabine does not appear to be an important cause of drug-induced liver injury but may occur in patients infected with the underlying chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) leading to disruption of the infection.
