Description: Acteoside is a phenylpropanoid, which has been reported as a chemical component of different plant species and has been isolated as a pure compound on RP-HPLC from violet flowers of Syringa vulgaris. At the pharmacological examination of this compound showed a dose-dependent decrease in sytolischen, diastolic and mean arterial pressure in the pentothal of anesthetized rats.
