What is Tolperisone Hydrochloride

The efficacy and safety of oral tolperisone hydrochloride (Mydocalm) in the treatment of painful muscle spasm reflex was studied in a double-blind, prospective, randomized, placebo-controlled. Overall, 138 patients aged 20-75 years with reflex disorders of the column or proximal vertebral joints age related muscle spasm pain were enrolled in eight rehabilitation centers. Patients were randomized to receive either tolperisone hydrochloride 300 mg or placebo for a period of 21 days. won both treatment groups during the three-week rehabilitation program.
