Pasireotide allows a wide variety of somatostatin receptors that have a much higher binding affinity for the somatostatin receptors 1, 3 and 5 as octreotide in vitro and a comparable binding affinity for the somatostatin receptor 2. this method is more effective than in the inhibition of somatostatin, the release of human growth hormone (HGH), glucagon and insulin.
