Studies on titanium porcelain interface have shown the presence of alumina mainly due to the sanding process. In this study, a study by the sand blasting effect on the microstructure and the surface roughness was cast pure titanium is carried out using three different sizes of particles of alumina powder. The analysis showed that the alumina particles are embedded in the surface layer of titanium in all cases. The use of a high alumina particle size seems to be advantageous in reducing the weight of alumina on the titanium surface and simultaneously increasing the surface roughness, thereby promoting the mechanical lock with the remaining porcelain.
